Agadir Lion Park: A Groundbreaking Safari Experience in Morocco
The highly anticipated Agadir Lion Park, the first of its kind in Morocco, is set to revolutionize wildlife tourism in the Kingdom. Located at the outskirts of Agadir, within the commune of Drarga, this ambitious project is spearheaded by Aquila Morocco, a Marrakech-based company founded by Hakim Abdel Hafid. This visionary Moroccan, a biologist with extensive experience managing wildlife parks in South Africa, aims to bring an authentic African safari experience to his home country.
The Lion Park of Drarga
Located in the same commune as Croco Parc, which opened in 2015, the Lion Park of Drarga will complement the region’s existing attractions. Spread across 20 hectares of forest land, the park is designed to provide an immersive wildlife experience. Unlike traditional zoos, where animals are confined to small enclosures, the lions in Drarga will roam freely across spacious zones.
Three Unique Zones for Lions
The park will feature three primary zones, each dedicated to a specific type of lion:
- African Lions: The iconic kings of the savannah.
