We booked two excursions with Tazwit Tours during our stay in Agadir, and I would happily book with them again. They helped make our holiday truly memorable. The Desert Sunset and Dinner was an adventure from beginning to end! Travelling by quad bike across the dunes was something I hadn’t expected, and although a little daunting at first (especially at almost 70!), it became part of the experience. Walking barefoot through the warm sand as the sun began to set is something I’ll never forget. A word of advice to future travellers: take water with you, and don’t ignore the toilets at the car park before setting off into the desert! We were welcomed with Moroccan tea and biscuits before enjoying a delicious chicken tagine while watching an incredible fire dancer perform beneath a sky full of stars. The return journey by quad bike in the dark was surprisingly enjoyable, thanks to a thoughtful driver who made sure I was comfortable throughout. Our taxi driver also deserves a mention. He arrived early, drove us safely over an hour into the desert, waited patiently for around five hours, and then drove us back to our hotel with a smile. We also visited the Tree-Climbing Goats and the Argan Co-operative with our guide, Mohammed, whose excellent English, kindness and good humour made the trip a pleasure. Holding a baby goat (sadly, it wouldn’t fit in my handbag!) and learning how argan oil is produced were definite highlights. Thank you to everyone at Tazwit Tours for your kindness, patience and hospitality. We look forward to returning and exploring more of Morocco with you. One final request to fellow travellers: please take your litter home with you and treat this beautiful landscape with the respect it deserves.
